Under the direction of Football Federation Australia and Football Queensland, Far North Qld Soccer Zone Inc. (FNQ Football) is the administrative body governing Football in Far North Queensland, Australia.
Following the Crawford report, Football Federation Australia and Football Queensland restructured how Football was to be governed both nationally and within this State.
This resulted in the introduction and formation of Far North Queensland Soccer Zone Inc in 2005. Under the authority of this Zone, standing committees recommend structure and direction for their various member groups they represent.
The Zone also license Competition Administrators to administer Football competitions throughout the region.
The Zone and Competition Administrators are also responsible for ensuring that FOOTBALL FEDERATION AUSTRALIA MEMBER FEDERATION CHARTER is adhered to in all aspects of football under its control on behalf of the FFA and FQ. Click on the highlited type to view the document.
FNQ Football is managed by its Zone Council who set policy for governance, direction and game development from which the Zone administration has to implement. The Zone covers Football from Weipa in the cape to Tully in the South, also stretching inland covering the Tablelands to Dimbulah.
